Bell Heather – Erica cinerea

Pollen Description : Bell Heather is distinctive due to its tetrad shape.  Its base appears to made up of three joined spheres, with a fourth sphere placed on top of this base.  It has three furrow and pore type apertures which extend from the top sphere, down to each of the spheres, forming the base.  The base is approximately 40 um in diameter.  The surface has a slightly granulated texture.  Pollen load is white.
