Dragonfly – Azure Damselfly – Ceonagrion puella

The full taxonomy of the Azure Damselfly is: –

  • Order – Odonata
  • Family – Zygoptera
  • Genus – Ceonagrion
  • Species – puella

The Azure Damselfly is common across most of the UK and can be found near to still water, in which it breeds.  The photo above is of the male.
