Dragonfly – Common Blue Damselfly – Enallagma cyathigerum

The full taxonomy of the Common Blue Damselfly is: –

  • Genus – Enallagma
  • Species – cyathigerum

The Common Blue Damselfly is common across the UK and can be found near to still or slow moving water, in which it breeds.  The photo above is of the male (above) and female (below).
