Daffodil – Narcissus pseudonarcissus

Plant : Daffodil is a native species and also grown in gardens and parks to create carpets of bright colour at Easter time.  It is a bulbous plant and grows up to 50 cm tall.  It is a member of the Alliaceae family.

Flower : The yellow flower has a distinctive trumpet shape and six tepals, surrounding the six stamen.  It flowers in March and April.
