Common Laburnum – Laburnum anagyroides

Plant : All parts of the Common Laburnum is poisonous.  It is not a native species but is grown for decoration in parks and gardens, where it can grow into substantial trees.  When in flower it produces long chains of bright yellow flowers.  It is a member of the Fabaceae family and has the characteristic trifoliate leaves.

Flower : The irregular, yellow flowers are approximately 3 cm long and flower in spring.
