Apple – Malus pumila

Plant : Domestic Apple trees are an introduced species and are commonly grown in gardens for their fruit and decoration.  They can be an important forage for honey bees in the spring.  They are a member of the Rosaceae family.

Flower : The white and pink flowers are typical of the family, with five petals and numerous stamen.  It flowers in May.
